Export your map data
MapLiberator saves everything you've made in an outdoor mapping or fitness app to one ZIP file on your computer: tracks, routes, waypoints, areas and photos, along with the folders and lists you keep them in. Tracks and routes come out as GPX, waypoints and areas as GeoJSON, and photos at full size, so you can open any of it in another app. It runs in your browser, signed in as you, and nothing passes through a MapLiberator server.
It works with these sites. Each page explains what comes out of that site, what the site's own export already gives you, and how to run an export step by step.
- Export from Gaia GPS: Tracks, routes, waypoints, areas, photos and nested folders.
- Export from AllTrails: Recordings, custom maps, waypoints, photos and lists.
- Export from Strava: Activities with GPS, routes, photos and starred routes.
- Export from Garmin Connect: Activities with GPS, courses and favorite courses.
Every archive has the same layout, whichever site it came from, and the layout is written down so other apps can import it. If you'd like to know why we built this, read the manifesto.
